Sleeping Bags for Homeless 2019

The Barbera Foundation started 2019 off strong with an initiative in February to deliver sleeping bags to the homeless in Washington, DC. After raising over $2,000 for this initiative, we were able to purchase 50 sleeping bags (meant for 0-30 degree temperatures) and deliver them to the homeless at Franklin Square in Washington, DC. The goal of this initiative was to bring warmth, love, and kindness to people that were struggling and living outside during the cold winter months. Our volunteers and donors made a big impact on many lives and the people receiving the sleeping bags were incredibly grateful.

At the end of 2019, and into 2020, the Barbera Foundation started this initiative again and raised an additional $2,500 to purchase sleeping bags for the homeless!
