The Barbera Foundation started 2021 off strong with an initiative in January to deliver sleeping bags to the homeless in Washington, DC. After raising over $1,500 for this initiative, we were able to purchase 30 sleeping bags (meant for 0-30 degree temperatures) and winter hats and deliver them to the homeless at Franklin Square in Washington, DC. The goal of this initiative was to bring warmth, love, and kindness to people that were struggling and living outside during the cold winter months. Our volunteers and donors made a big impact on many lives and the people receiving the sleeping bags were incredibly grateful.
