Today, we had our second sock drive to support the homeless in Washington, DC and Fairfax County. Socks are the least donated item, but also the most needed among the homeless! They play an integral role in preventing hypothermia during the cold months and for maintaining general cleanliness/hygiene and health all year round.
We managed to raise over 2 SUV loads of socks in addition to over $300 in donations to purchase new socks!
Way to go team!
Next week, we will be handing out the socks to the homeless in Washington, DC. Want to take part and give back to those in need? Help us deliver socks to the homeless on 3/30 from 3-4PM in DC!
