Did you know that there are are approximately 7,000 homeless people living in Washington, DC. and just over 1,000 in Fairfax County?
Did you also know, that the most needed items of clothing among the homeless community, and the least donated, are SOCKS?
Socks are essential in keeping the homeless warm and preventing hypothermia, especially during the cold winter months. They are also very affordable and relatively easy donate.
Our goal is to deliver a pair of new or gently used socks to each and every homeless person (plus some) in Washington, DC and Fairfax County.. that is 10,000 socks!
