Vegas Trip!

Hi all! I hope you are having a good week so far! I just got back from a long weekend trip to Las Vegas with a good friend of mine. Vegas was a blast, we had an awesome time and saw lots of street performers, beautiful hotels, and did some people watching at the casinos which was entertaining to say the least. I was also "arrested" by a couple of cops on our walk down the Vegas strip which was hysterical.

While Vegas was a fun time, the most memorable part of our vacation was our road trip to the Grand Canyon. It was a LONG car ride to get their from Vegas (8-9 hours round trip), but hands down, it was well worth the drive.

Pictures and video don't really do it justice, but in person, we were blown away by its sheer size and beauty. The layers upon layers of vibrant colors: red, pink, white, brown, etc. were remarkable. It was a humbling experience to stand on the edge and be surrounded by a canyon that took millions of years to form and extended as far as the eye could see. It was a breathtaking moment and it reminded me of the importance of living in the present and embracing life changing experiences like these.

In all fairness, I can't compete with the Grand Canyon, however, I think that this group and our the vision of helping others presents an opportunity to embrace similar life changing experiences. Volunteering to help others in need has improved my life tremendously and I am happier and more fulfilled as a result. I am confident that the same thing will apply to you! Take that first step and join us for one of our upcoming events!!!

This weekend, we have an event to help the homeless in DC (https://www.facebook.com/events/369576723488556/) and in February, The Barbera Foundation has partnered with Operation Gratitude (https://www.operationgratitude.com/) to deliver 500 Valentines Day care packages to veterans who are serving overseas.

Hope to see you all there!

Kevin
