Christmas for the Homeless

Christmas is the time of year to be with the ones you love and care for. It is also a time to reflect on life and to be grateful for everything that we have: friends, family, roofs over our heads, health, and food. Unfortunately, there are many people in our community that are less fortunate, and do not have these essential things in their lives.

No one should have to spend Christmas alone in the cold on the streets.. Let’s come together and bring some warmth and love to the homeless population in Washington DC this Christmas season! Our goal is to provide approximately 300 care packages composed of food and supplies that can be used to weather the harsh winter months ahead. This event will be composed of three different tasks: The first will be a food/supply drive where we will collect a variety of non-perishable food and clothing. The following day, we will organize all of the donations and assemble the care packages that will ultimately be delivered on the 23rd of December. We will start the food delivery at Franklin Sq in Washington DC. (1332 I St NW, Washington, DC 20005) and continue on foot to deliver the remainder of the gifts throughout DC -bundle up, because it will be cold!! This is quite the undertaking, so we will need as much help as we can get! Below, are more details about the event.. 1.) DONATIONS: A donation drive will be held at: 11300 Baron Cameron Ave, Reston, VA 20190 field 1 on 12/16/2017 at 12:30PM-2:30PM. Donations that we are seeking include: Supplies: 1.) Gloves 2.)
