About The Event

Often times, it may be easy to take for granted the rights and freedoms of the United States: freedom of speech, press, religion, the right to assemble/protest, free market capitalism, voting rights, women's rights, land ownership, education, etc. to name a few. These rights and freedoms have enabled our great nation to flourish and prosper for many years, however they come at a cost...

The brave men and women who serve our nation are the ones that protect our constitution, freedoms, and way of life. Without their sacrifices, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Let's open our hearts to the brave men and women who serve our country by creating and delivering 1,000 Valentine's Day Cards to disabled veterans and those actively serving overseas. We have partnered with the American Red Cross and Operation Gratitude to make this event possible.

If you would like to participate in this event, please read the details below..

Valentine's day cards should include a hand written note with a positive/uplifting thanking them for their service. It may also include something funny, creative, or really anything that you think would be appropriate. It's completely up to you!

When: Feb 1, 2018 is the deadline to get all of the cards in by.

******HOW TO PARTICIPATE******

-Individually: If you would like to donate cards, please send them to my PO box (# coming soon).

-With the group: We will also be holding a card writing event on 01/20/2018 from 2-5PM at my condo complex in Reston, VA. Please bring donations of cards and be prepared to write notes!

-Your own Initiative: Are you a teacher or a parent? Let's get the kids involved by hosting an event in school to gather cards and write notes for the vets. The vets I have talked to enjoy receiving notes from the kids!
