Tutoring Children in Need!

One of the most efficient and effective ways to mitigate some of society's major problems (crime, drugs, violence, homelessness, etc.) is by educating and instilling strong values in today's youth. Having positive role models in a child's life who emphasize values of honor, integrity, hard work, education, love, and compassion can help to establish a strong moral foundation and get that child on the path to a successful and enriching future.

I went ahead and contacted all of the principals of title 1 elementary schools in Northern VA and DC (just about 100) and asked if there was a need for a semi-monthly after school event where tutors could assist students with homework and serve as mentors, and financial professionals could assist parents by providing financial education and advice.

The good news.. I received an overwhelming YES from the schools. The challenge.. Figuring out a way to meet the needs of many schools (10 so far). I have seen what our group of volunteers is capable of, and I am confident that if we work together, we can definitely make a BIG impact on many lives.
