About The Event
The Semper Fi Fund is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured service members and their families. From bedside financial support and transportation assistance, to horsemanship and canine programs, the Semper Fi Fund plays an integral part in rehabilitating our brave service men and women so that they can start new and productive lives.
The Barbera Foundation has 2 initiatives to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund:
- Running the Marine Corps Marathon: Kevin Barbera and fellow volunteer/friend, Iuliana Boghean are running the Marine Corps Marathon to spread awareness of the Semper Fi Fund and the good work it does. They are actively seeking donations through October 15th. If you would like to donate, please follow this link.
- Olde Brogue Dinner Party Fundraiser: The Barbera Foundation is partnering with a good friend, Bob Nelson who hosts monthly dinners to support a variety of non-profits that help our veterans and injured service members. They average about 100 people at the events each month and raise anywhere between $3,000-$10,000 depending on the attendance. Their next dinner will be held on 09/19 at the Olde Brogue in Great Falls, VA one seating at 5:30PM and the other at 7:30PM. (If you would like to attend the dinner at either of these times, please call ahead and make a reservation as seating is limited.) These are great events and are very fun - especially when they raffle off various gifts! Our goal, is to raise awareness and find volunteers for this event! As a result, if you would like to donate raffle prizes, promote of the event, find co-sponsors, or simply attend the dinner, please RSVP in the link below! For more information, please click here.
Thanks again for all of your help every contribution goes a long way in supporting our injured service members!
