About The Event
We need volunteers to help prepare and serve dinner for over 100 people at the Embry Rucker Shelter in Reston, VA!!
If interested, please review the details below...
Please bring a prepared dish (cooking to be done at home) to the event in an aluminum catering dish. Here are some ideas for dishes that we need, (however, you are more than welcome to bring a dish of your choosing!)..
Main entrée: Fajitas, Enchiladas, Burritos, etc.
Side Dishes: Mexican corn salad, black bean soup, guac salad, lime cilantro rice, etc.
Dessert: Tres Leches cake, apple enchiladas, rice pudding, etc.
Note: dishes should be prepared at home and large enough to feed 10-20 people.
Must be 18+ to serve food in the kitchen.
We have a lot of interest in these types of events, and since there is limited room in the kitchen, we can only accept 20 volunteers. Please register sooner rather than later! The first 20 e-mails will get a spot in the kitchen!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail with any questions or comments: info@barberafoundation.org
Thanks for all of your help in making this event possible!
