Delaney's Book Drive #2

I received a note from one of our volunteers who wanted to start her own charitable initiative after participating in our Christmas Care Package event back in December. She is a high school student and her goal is to gather children's books to donate to families who are less fortunate. In addition to having a book drive effort at her school, she asked if I could help spread the word to our group members and on social media.

I think this is a great idea and it goes without saying that there is a need for this event! A record number of kids are growing up in low-income households and many public schools lack the funding and resources to provide basic necessities, like books for their students. Without adequate supplies of books, children cannot learn.
