About The Event
Do you have an old laptop or tablet that you no longer use? Don't throw it away! Instead, please donate it to us! We will refurbish the computers (and wipe the hard drives) and donate them to children who are recovering from cancer.
Barbera Foundation has partnered with a non-profit called Hopecam (www.hopecam.org). Hopecam's mission is to overcome the social isolation experienced by children in treatment for cancer. They do this by providing tablets and/or laptop computers, along with internet, to children from low-income households who are recovering from cancer so that they can video conference and communicate with their classmates and friends at school.
Social interaction is incredibly important during the cancer recovery process and your donation of your new/used laptop or tablet device can go a long way in making this very lonely and frightening time a little bit more manageable for these children.
If you would like to make a donation, please register!
Thank you very much for your time and consideration! Positive change starts with you!
