We had a fun time with the residents of a rehabilitation facility in Sterling, VA! After I taught chair yoga,, the residents and volunteers made "galaxies in a bottle" as an arts & crafts event. Everyone had a great time and met some new friends in the process. Take a look at some of the pictures from the event!
Hope to see you at a charitable event in the near future!
What a great weekend! Barbera Foundation volunteers (www.barberafoundation) delivered 300 carepackages composed of non perishables food items and bottled water to the homeless in Washington DC Sunday afternoon.
Everyone was very grateful for the food and water especially on a hot day. Thanks to all of our donors, assemblers, and delivery people who made this possible. You all made a big difference for those less fortunate. Great work!
Thanks to our friends at the Growing Kids Therapy Center (https://growingkidstherapy.com/) for your very generous donation of non-perishable food items for our "Christmas in July" event! These donations will go to help the homeless in Washington DC?

Want to learn how to paint while drinking wine and supporting a great cause? Sign up for this 2 hour painting lesson in Fairfax, VA and help out fellow Barbera Foundation volunteer, Brittany Mahat as she raises $25k for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society!
It's a win-win: learn how to paint, meet other philanthropic and fun people, AND most importantly support the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society as they fight to find a cure!
As we approach summer and go on vacations with our families it is easy to forget about some of the people in our community who are less fortunate. Let's help out the homeless this July in an event I am calling "Christmas in July."
We'll be gathering donations of food and water throughout July and then delivering everything to the homeless in DC at the end of the month.
Christmas giving doesn't need to end in December, it can be a year-long thing!
Special thanks to Mercia Hobson of the Reston and Herndon Connection for covering our "Flower Power" event on Mother's Day! Take a look at the article in the link below or by simply clicking the picture!
Let's help fellow volunteer, Brittany Mahat raise $25k for the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society this summer!
