We need your help to prepare and serve an Italian-themed dinner for over 100 people at a low-income elderly apartment community in Reston, VA!!

Please bring a prepared dish (cooking to be done at home, serving size for 10-20 people) in an aluminum catering dish. Here are some ideas for dishes that we need...

ANTIPASTI (Appetizer): Cured meats and cheeses, bruschetta (toasted bread with tomatoes and other toppings), and pickled or fried vegetables and olives.

PRIMI (First Dish): Pasta dishes, risotto, soup 

SECONDI (Second Dish): Meat, fish, vegetable main dishes

DOLCI (Dessert): Gelato, cakes and pies, tiramisù (a coffee and custard dessert), cannoli (ricotta stuffed in a crispy shell)

Note: You must be 18+ to volunteer. 

Please RSVP if you would like to prepare and serve a dish. I will e-mail all of the people who have signed up as we get closer to the event date to solidify a menu and discuss further details. We have a lot of interest in these types of events, and since there is limited room in the kitchen, we can only accept 30 volunteers. Please register sooner rather than later! 

Address will be provided upon RSVP. The event will be held in Reston, VA. 

Tickets - This event requires a ticket purchase. Ticket sales go towards supporting this event, covering overhead costs of the Barbera Foundation and supporting Myanna's Heart, a non-profit organization that provides tote bags composed of gifts and toys to children recovering heart surgery in hospitals.
